Tutere Street House

[ Novak + Middleton Architects ] The concept of this project is a light rectangular box floating above a heavy, solid, concrete plinth. Positioned parallel to the beach, views out to Kapiti Island are maximized. Louver screens on tracks allow for solar control on the North-Western facade. The entrance space forms a double height void which splits the house, while the stairs and a first-floor bridge reconnects the spaces.
