The first section of this research project involved analysis and comparison assessing the circularity of a selection of building products in Australia. Investigating these against a variety of criteria ranging from the raw material to the transportation, processing, modularity of construction, and end of life scenarios of each product. The products that performed best were selected for use in the design of a modular housing unit. Which would be completely prefabricated, using X-Frame as a modular timber framing system, then could transported by truck to site throughout Australia. The entire building was designed to be disassembled, reused, replace, altered, and recycled throughout and at the end of its life.
